Toddlers need time to explore-that’s how they learn! Go for walks around the neighborhood and play in the park. Allow time to discover nature. Provide things to build with and toys without batteries. Encourage your toddlers to wait patiently while another child is playing with their favorite toys. You might say, “As soon as Jane is finished playing with the doll, you may play with it.” By doing these things you’re teaching social skills, independence, and boosting brain development.
